About the Role
As an RGN/RSCN, you will support individuals with complex clinical needs within their home environment, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.
You may be supporting individuals living with spinal cord injuries, reduced mobility, or ongoing health needs that require routine nursing input. Many individuals rely on consistent, familiar carers to help them feel safe and confident in their own homes.
Description
Your role will include delivering hands-on, compassionate care, such as:
Supporting individuals bed transfers
Providing personal care with dignity and respect
medication management and monitoring for any signs of concern
Supporting individuals with mobility needs, including those in wheelchairs
Monitoring general wellbeing and recognising early signs of deterioration
This role is about more than clinical tasks — it’s about building relationships, offering reassurance, and being a consistent, trusted presence in someone’s daily life.
You will often work closely with families, offering guidance and support, and ensuring care is delivered in line with agreed plans and best practice.

Shift Details
Flexible shifts available (days, evenings, and nights)
Based within service users’ homes

Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care within the home
- Administer medications and support treatment plans
- Support with personal care and daily routines
- Manage and monitor catheter care and oxygen therapy
- Monitor and record clinical observations
- Escalate concerns appropriately and in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Requirements
- RGN or RSCN qualification with valid NMC registration
- Minimum 1 year post-registration experience (preferred)
- Experience in community or home care settings (desirable)
- Competence in personal care, catheter care, and basic clinical support
- Understanding of safeguarding and patient safety
- A compassionate, professional, and reliable approach
